The Toronto Shelter Network is excited to be hosting its Fifth Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting on October 24, and invites you to attend!

The theme for the 2019 TSN conference is Toronto’s Shelter System: Working Together to Improve Health and Wellbeing for All. Health and wellbeing - for those who use shelter services and for those who work in the sector – is a growing concern. The TSN would like to use the 2019 conference as a forum to discuss projects, practices, and innovations that are being developed or used to improve health, safety, and wellbeing across the sector. The conference will focus on the health and safety from a range of perspectives, including shelter staff, support workers, community members and partners, and clients.

People with direct experience as shelter providers have valuable knowledge, skills and expertise.  The TSN is putting out a call for proposals. We want to use this conference as an opportunity for peers to learn from their peers.  We want to hear from you! Linked below is the full Call for Proposals guide and the proposal application form. Applications are to be submitted to by 11:59 pm on August 16th. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the call for proposals.

The TSN has had to raise ticket prices this year to support growing operating costs and to ensure we provide you with an exciting day. We are offering discounted prices to those who are presenting at the conference.

To register for the conference, please complete the registration form (linked below), email it to, and mail your cheque to the address listed on the registration form. The registration deadline is October 11, 2019.
